Simply Being. Third Revised Edition Now In Print

Tue 16 Nov 2010

Many people have asked when this classic would be back in print, and now it is, thanks in part to Martin Klopstock and other helpers. To buy a copy through this website, go to 'Books' on the top menu bar, scroll to 'Simply Being' and click on 'English'.

The back cover reads,

"Simply Being is a treasure of the most profound Tibetan Buddhist teachings on meditation. Accessible and down to earth, these teachings provide us with practical advice for everyday life. Every word of these saintly masters is beautifully rendered into English by a translator who has dedicated his life to learning and meditating upon these very teachings."  Tulku Thondup

Simply Being presents twelve texts collected and translated by James Low who copied them from the travelling libraries of yogis practicing in the Himalayas. These twelve traditional teachings show us how to recognize our own enlightened being as infinite awareness free of all effort and artifice. Freed from limiting false assumptions, human nature is revealed as a joyful process of open responsiveness.

The second part of this book includes four chapters taken from teachings given by James Low, which present the tradition distilled through the experience of a western practitioner.

This third edition contains many revisions of the earlier translations.
